My “relaxation mode” kicked in quickly while lounging on the upper deck of the Señorita Rita Catamaran. Located in the Puerto Peñasco Harbor, the 40 person catamaran offers Sunset Cruises, groups excursions, and special event trips year round.

Too choppy to raise anchor and head out for a traditional cruise, we enjoyed a fantastic harbor view, entertainment from a frolicking dolphin, dozens of seabirds, margaritas, and sandwiches. The warm breeze blowing from the Sea of Cortez made the September heat bearable and reminiscent of an ocean cruise, making this a highlight of our evening.

I very much enjoyed my visit, only wishing the weather cooperated so we could have enjoyed to the natural beauty of the Sea of Cortez. With a spectacular sunset, I could only imagine the views of Puerto Peñasco would be spectacular!
