If you are looking for an upscale, convenient, romantic, view worthy hotel experience, then the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco has what you are looking for. Located just off Market and 5th street at 55 Cyril Magnin St, you will find yourself at the center of San Francisco’s financial district. Easy walking distance to arts, entertainment, shopping, and many of the most popular tourist attractions including the famous San Francisco Cable Car just one block east of the hotel.

Getting to the Parc 55 Hotel is convenient and easy, which is a lot to say for anything in San Francisco. Aside from the obvious (driving into San Francisco,) which at best is a frustrating experience for new arrivals to the city, you will find that public transportation comes to your rescue with Powel Street B.A.R.T Station and the San Francisco Metro Muni less than a city block away from the hotel. Flying into San Francisco International Airport, you can quickly take Uber, Lyft, airport shuttle service or BART to bring you into the city.

Arriving at Parc 55 Hotel, I was greeted by their enthusiastic staff at check-in, I was so impressed by the experience. The lobby is on the 2nd floor with Bell Hop service on the 1st floor along with valet parking, both at the street level. There is plenty of staff available to help you and make you feel safe during your visit; I appreciated seeing a security guard in the lobby.

Parc 55 Hotel is 55 stories tall with a large selection of rooms, 1100 to choose from, many with spectacular views of San Francisco and the Bay. Deluxe guest rooms offer several configurations which include King beds, double beds, and rooms including a small fitness center, all located on the 5th through 32nd floors.  Their suites are large, up to 1,731 sq. ft that sleep 4 and include panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay from the 27th to the 32nd floor. Accessible rooms and services are available at the Parc 55 Hotel too.

Personally, I couldn’t have been happier with our room; a King sized bed, sofa, large flat screen t.v., desk and spacious bathroom big enough for two to use. Coffee maker, water, sheets to sleep the night away under, all my favorite things packed into a corner room with a fantastic view. Plus, it was clean and that makes me a very happy guest!

Parc 55 Hotel exercise room

The Parc 55 Hotel has plenty of amenities to keep you entertained during your stay. With an impressive exercise room featuring free weights, treadmills, bikes and machines to help you burn off the excesses you may enjoy during your stay.

Start your visit off with a glass of wine from Cable 55 Bar’s award-winning wine list, preferred local microbrews or have your favorite cocktail mixed by their mixologist. With three restaurants to choose from, you won’t go hungry at the Parc 55. Breakfast is served at both Cable 55 restaurant and their relaxed, casual style restaurant, the Barbary Coast. Lunch and dinner options include the Cable 55, Barbary Coast and their Thai restaurant Kin Khao where they make all their curry pastes, sauces, and relishes in-house daily while sourcing only the finest original ingredients.

Just kitty-corner to the Parc 55 Hotel, their sister property the Hilton San Francisco Union Square has several more options for entertainment.  You can enjoy a massive Sunday Buffet at Poached offering an “extensive selection of cooked-to-order eggs and delicious local, regional and international breakfast options.”

Enjoy a spectacular dinner at Urban Tavern Dinner and Bar with their “diverse menu that highlights premium products with a local flair, including Candied Pork Belly, Ahi-Salmon Hamachi Poke, Devil Fried Duck Eggs, Wild Mushrooms and Blackened Cauliflower, to name a few house specialties.”

After dinner, I recommend taking the elevator to the 46th floor to be amazed by the 360° views from one of the tallest buildings in the city. The CityScape Lounge overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Alcatraz Island, offering up “small plates, desserts, signature cocktails, wines by the glass, a variety of beers on tap, fine spirits.”

Location, location, location is the hallmark of a great business but the Parc 55 Hotel goes much further than location. I loved the service, rooms, amenities and of course, the location. Having the Hilton San Francisco Union Square so close added a host of other opportunities that made our stay all the better. I greatly appreciate the proximity of many transportation, shopping, and activity options available just outside the door. If you’re looking for similar experiences the next time you visit San Francisco, then give the Parc 55 Hotel a call and book a room, you can thank me later.
